The Destin family has a long history with the town, dating back to its founding by Dewey’s great, great grandfather, Leonard Destin, in 1835.
The restaurant is located on the harbor and features a pier, patio, and decks for guests to enjoy the beautiful views. Their menu features fresh fish and other local seafood, with daily catch specials and a “cook your catch” option.
A few of my favorites include Dewey’s seafood gumbo and hot crab dip.
They also offer steamer options including steamed shrimp and snow crab legs. I mean, how delicious does that sound?
McGuire’s Irish Pub
McGuire’s Irish Pub in Destin is a dream come true for those looking for great food and a good time. They have a lively and welcoming atmosphere that boasts an incredible live music scene.
The pub’s charming decor, featuring Irish elements, creates an inviting and warm atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind with family and friends.
Their menu features traditional dishes as well as unique takes on classic favorites. They offer a brunch menu, a lunch menu, a dinner menu, as well as a night owl menu.

If you want to go for sunset, you will need to get there early for a table with a view. But it is totally worth the wait. Their menu features surf and turf specialties, including southern-style barbecue ribs, shrimp shish kabobs, and local favorites like fish tacos.
