The Best Coffee in Destin

Capriccio Café

Capriccio is a locally owned cafe in the heart of Destin. It is a great place for those who crave a little bit of luxury with their coffee.

They offer so much more than just coffee. Besides a wide range of gourmet coffee options, they also offer crepes (my favorite), pastries, sandwiches, and salads.

Their commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of their cafe. They even import their coffee, meats, and cheese straight from Italy. How impressive is that? And their owner is actually from Milan so you know they are bringing authentic Italian flavors to the Emerald Coast.

Whether you are looking to relax, study, or catch up with friends, Capriccio Cafe is the perfect spot.

My recommendation? Try the crepes! You won’t be disappointed. – I typically lean toward a sweet crepe but even their savory crepes are incredible.

East Pass Coffee Co.

East Pass Coffee Company is a great place to start your day. The friendly staff will make you feel right at home as you enjoy your delicious cup of coffee.

Their menu features plenty of options if you are looking for something more than just coffee. They offer Acai Bowls, smoothies, sandwiches, and toast.

East Pass Coffee has something for everyone.

Cafe Destin

Cafe Destin is an all-day breakfast, brunch, and lunch spot near the beach in Destin, Florida. I mean, who doesn’t love a place that sells breakfast all day long? That’s my kind of place:)

Their menu features a full range of breakfast, lunch, and espresso options.

Whether you are looking for a place to grab a coffee and go or, share a light lunch with friends, Cafe Destin is an excellent option.

The Palms Coffeehouse

The Palms Coffee House is an adorable little coffee shop located inside the Palms of Destin Resort & Conference Center. One of my favorite things about this coffee shop is that every corner is ig worthy. So, not only are you going to get a great cup of coffee but also a photo op. And who doesn’t love posting pictures of their morning cup of joe?

Their menu features their signature drinks like honey lavender latte, The Islander, and Beach Bum as well as the classics like cold brew, pour-over, and Espresso drinks. They also offer tea, small bites, and smoothies.

The staff is always friendly and works hard to make the perfect cup of coffee to get your morning started on the right foot. So when you finish your daily walk, head over to the Palms Coffeehouse. You will definitely find something to keep you going for the long day ahead.

2 Birds Coffee + Cafe

2 Birds Coffee + Cafe is a charming coffee shop locally owned and operated in Miramar Beach. Their menu features classic espresso drinks, breakfast staples, salads, and bowls. And if coffee isn’t your thing, they also offer wine, beer on tap, mimosas, and bloody marys.

You simply must try the avocado Fancy Toast. I mean, anything drizzled with walnut oil and sprinkled with red pepper flakes is a winner in my book.

So, whether you’re looking for a cozy spot to get some work done or a place for brunch with the gals, 2 Birds Coffee + Cafe has just what you need.

Black Bear Bread Co.

Black Bear Bread Co. is a local favorite. I have been visiting this coffee shop and bakery since they only had one location in Grayton Beach. You really can’t go wrong here. All of their food is amazing and their coffee is perfection.

This Black Bear Bread Co. location is in Miramar Beach at Grand Boulevard. This is an incredible location because it is within walking distance of some of the best shopping Destin has to offer.

Their breakfast menu offers breakfast sandwiches, tartines, and all-day specialties, like my favorite, french toast. Their lunch menu includes sandwiches and specialties like their kale caesar salad and Bánh Mì, a braised pork shoulder sandwich with pickled carrots, cilantro, and sambal aioli.

So, if you are looking for fresh coffee, great food, and a relaxing atmosphere Black Bear Bread Co is the place for you.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii

The first time I tried Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii was at their Grayton Beach location, And let me tell you, I was hooked. Not only is their coffee amazing but the whole coffee shop is a total vibe.

You are definitely going to want to get here early to beat the lines. But even if there is a line, don’t stress. It moves quickly and is well worth the wait.

Their menu items are delicious as well. My go-to’s are the bacon burrito or the spicy sausage burrito. You really can’t go wrong with either one.

Their customer service is top-notch. I have never had anything but a great experience at Bad Ass Coffee. I mean, with a name like that, how could you?

You can actually get your first cup free if you download their app. How’s that for keeping costs down while on vacation?

The Donut Hole Bakery and Cafe

The Donut Hole Bakery and Cafe is so much more than just a coffee shop. Besides delicious coffee, they also offer breakfast served all day, sandwiches, burgers, pies, cakes, and of course, donuts.

The Donut Hole is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Plan to get there early otherwise you will have to wait in line for a table. But trust me, it’s worth the wait.

Be sure you don’t leave without at least a slice of their key lime pie but, preferably a whole pie. You can thank me later. My daughter-in-law is the one who introduced me to their key lime pie! And boy was she right! It’s incredible.

The Sound Cafe Best Coffee in Destin

This might be the coolest coffee shop in the Destin area. The atmosphere is as inviting as the delicious coffee and food. They open early for those looking to hit the road running and for the night owls, they stay open until midnight every day.

This is the perfect place for a fun time with family and friends. Many evenings they offer live music for you to enjoy while you sip your beer, wine, or signature sangria.

They are a full-service coffee bar and use only fresh locally roasted coffee beans. They serve espresso and an extensive list of signature lattes. Their menu boasts numerous brunch options such as paninis and breakfast served all day. And, who doesn’t love breakfast all day?

The Sound Cafe offers a unique experience, whether you are looking for an escape to get some work or studying done, or maybe out to play some board games with the family.

Camille’s at Crystal Beach Best Coffee in Destin

Camille’s cafe is a cafe and restaurant all rolled into one. Their breakfast menu includes such favorites as cinnamon rolls, breakfast tacos, and bagels & lox. They serve locally roasted coffee from Destin Coffee and offer drip coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte, coconut latte, chai latte, and iced coffee.

If you are looking for lunch options, they have sandwiches such as The Sriracha Turkey, Triple Grilled Cheese, and the Avocado Hummus Wrap. They also feature several salads and signature pizzas like the BBQ Chicken or the Beachcomber.

As the sister restaurant to Harbor Docks, Camille’s at Crystal beach offers the freshest seafood available.

Starbucks Best Coffee in Destin

Last but not least I am adding several Starbucks locations to the list. I’m sure that everyone has their favorite Starbucks drink. But I encourage you to venture out while you are on vacation. Destin Florida is so much more than just a tourist town. They have some great coffee shops too. And also, it’s always nice to support local businesses when you visit somewhere new.
