Bacon and Cheese Quiche Recipe
This is one of our favorite breakfast recipes. It's very forgiving. Once you get comfortable with the base recipe its easy to swap ingredients to mix it up.

- 1 lb bacon cooked crisp and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ Onion finely chopped
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 8 ounces Gruyere cheese
- 1 unbaked Pie Shell store-bought is fine
Preheat the oven to 350°
whisk together the egg and cream until smooth. Stir in cheese, onions, salt, pepper and bacon.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pie pan.
Bake at 350° for 30-40 minutes - jus until the center is set and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack until the eggs firm a bit.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days

We love to eat this with a little homemade salsa on the side.
